High school seniors and first-year students at St. Çï¿ûÊÓÆµ and Loras College are invited to apply for automatic, conditional admission to the St. Ambrose Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program.
This accelerated pathway allows you to save time and tuition costs by beginning graduate-level coursework during your senior year of college, setting you up for an advanced degree and meaningful career in less time.

How It Works
First, . If you’re accepted, you’ll hold a reserved seat in the OTD program as long as you meet the ongoing academic and participation requirements.
High School Senior Acceptance Requirements
- You must have a minimum 3.2 cumulative high school GPA.
- Complete a minimum of 20 hours observing an occupational therapist in at least two different practice settings.
- Submit a personal statement describing your interest in occupational therapy.
- Complete the form by June 1.
First-year students at St Çï¿ûÊÓÆµ and Loras College
- You must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative college GPA.
- Complete a minimum of 20 hours observing an occupational therapist in at least two different practice settings.
- Submit a personal statement describing your interest in occupational therapy.
- Complete the form by June 1.
Requirements to Maintain Conditional Admission
To remain eligible, you must:
- Complete 10+ hours of service each academic year.
- Maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA in undergraduate coursework.
- Complete all prerequisite courses with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and no grades below a C.
- Fulfill all general education and major requirements.
- Actively engage in advising sessions and pre-OT programming.
